Great job and great detail! This reminds me quite a bit of some of rk post's angel paintings. I'm amazed that you said you rushed this painting because it looks so complete. The clouds are equally great and they, too, remind me of some of rk post's paintings. The only bad thing is that the angel's clothing is a bit too dark, and you can't really make out all the details of it. Perhaps more highlights would do it?

I agree that maybe the dress needs more highlights and maybe it would be cool to experiment with highlights in her hair. maybe the highlighted hair won't work out but it would be cool to see. You are very talented. Keep it up

Again thanks for the critiques! I am trying to work on the problems when I have time, but homework gets in the way. As for references…I looked at pictures for ideas but nothing is copied. Basically it is just made up. Oh, I did look at my hand when I drew hers though.

I'm returning to this picture for.. third? fourth? time now.. and I still can't take my eyes off it.. especially the face keps me hipnotized.. there was once a movie.. about a "killer, who cryied" - and she remembers me of that person.. angel's face, hot body, and a sword, that doesn't fit to her just like the crack on the window doesn't fit to the glass.. but it is there, just to show everyone, that something is wrong with the window.. This is just the type of art I love the most.. and that I dreamed of doing myself.. And I've just relized, that I can give a max of 7 ponits now, instead of 5.. So for the first time.. a +7.. totally deserved.

I think I like to see the sky darker blue like sky also clearer, so it can bring out the back-round, and ohh... yeah i love pink-purple clouds my favorite. Her face is stellar! if only her hair was detailed, to bring more of her face, you did in 4dayz I'm just stupidfied! I want to see the finished version! (i won't mind at all if you had that air brused on my car!!)

That sword and hand is beautiful. It's the first thing i saw and it was just looked so elegant. But yes, the WHOLE picture is spectacular. The wings are very dark, but this is just too lovely, so who cares. Her face is beautiful. Excellent work! love this dark angel. ^_^

A Wonderful Picture! I'd like to try to make that dress. It's good how her arms cover the wing-body attachment site, so one doesn't have to work out how they want the fabric to go around the wing, how and when the skin turns into wing, how the necessary back strength to hold up such wings while not using them to fly...covering this area is much easier. A simple, yet intricate sword - I love the handle, though it looks as though the guard is 2 pieces. The designs are so delicate, but the material makes them appear stronger. The flat of the blade is unseemingly large, making it appear that this sword is rather thick. Is her hair supposed to seem so thick and wet? The highlights are good, as is the way the stars are at various distances. Overall, a grande picture!

"The black angel is a stunning piece that I think will appeal to the 18-35 market. It has all the fine points that make an image great. The eye focus in this instance I believe is ok because she has a "you gonna screw with me" attitude, which is what we were looking for here. It lost some points because of the crop of the wings. But the over all quality and attention to detail is superb. " Jamie submitted a final image to us with uncropped wings. It looks great and is going to be a killer tee. Congrats Jamie!!! The Mountain
